Multiple British GT Championship winning squad, Beechdean Aston Martin Racing (AMR) enjoyed a successful weekend in the sunshine at the Snetterton 300 circuit. The team competed in the seventh and eighth round of the 2016 British GT championship, in what was the penultimate event of the season.
Jack Bartholomew and Aston Martin Racing factory driver Ross Gunn drove in the title challenging #407 Aston Martin Vantage V8 GT4 car. Gunning for its third straight GT4 championship win, the duo took second in the seventh round and a win in the eighth round. The pairing were close to making it a double victory at Snetterton, with Gunn falling short of only 0.360 seconds in the first race. In race two the #407 overcame a seven second pit stop success penalty to take a comfortable victory.
Jack Bartholomew “It was great to be a part of the first Aston Martin Vantage V8 GT4 win at Snetterton.” The entire team were awesome all weekend and managed to quickly erase the gremlins we suffered in Saturday practice. This victory was certainly a team effort and I can’t wait for Donington.”
Reigning British GT4 Champion Gunn, who was returning to GT4 for the first time since the end of last year also was very pleased with the efforts
Ross Gunn “I enjoyed my return to GT4 and assisting with Jacks and Beechdean’s assault on the title. Both races were near faultless from all of the guys and it was fantastic to be back on the podium.”
