Ross has been a part of Beechdean AMR for the past 3 seasons. After graduating to the team in 2015 - Ross has won numerous races, scored a large number and podiums, as well as becoming the 2015 British GT GT4 Champion with the team.
The experience with the team continues into 2017, where Ross has graduated up to the GTE European Le Mans Series squad, where they will be competing to defend their title won in the 2016 season.
The Aston Martin Racing team is run by Prodrive and since 2004 has been competing in international sportscar series including Le Mans. In 2016 the works team won the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) GT Drivers' title, while our customers won the European and British sports car championships.
Ross Gunn became an Aston Martin Factory Driver in the winter of 2015 - after being crowned the winner of the coveted Aston Martin Evolution Academy, earning him a contract with the legendary company.
The SuperStars programme helps to strengthen links between young drivers and the Club, as well as reinforcing the relevance of the BRDC to the wider motor sport community. The Club very much plays its part in nurturing talent across the board in order to ensure that British drivers remain at the fore, both nationally and internationally, in years to come.
Ross Gunn has been a member of the BRDC Superstars since 2016, after his successful climb through the GT ranks attracted the eyes of many in British Motorsport.
After a successful 2015 race season, that culminated in the team being the first in history to win two class British GT championships in the same season, Beechdean AMR expanded their wings by competing in the European Le Mans series and the 24 hours of Le Mans for 2016. A successful season ensued, as Beechdean AMR became 2016 European Le Mans Series GTE championship.
For 2017 they will defend their European Le Mans Series title and once again compete at the 24 hours of Le Mans.
Drivers competing in LMP2 and LMGTE are racing the same machinery that competes on the world stage - perhaps future world champions will be found on the ELMS grid. The duty of the ELMS is to offer its competitors a full season to race their cars on some of the best tracks in Europe, while keeping tight control of the costs associated with running in a top European wide series. Also the champions will be offered a place on the grid of the 2018 24 Heures du Mans, which gives an extra, important dimension to the title race across the categories.
Ross will be competing at one of the highest levels in motorsport during the 2017 season whilst taking on the ELMS Championship with Beechdean AMR
